The more children I have, and the older they get, the less I know! If you woulda been in my house this evening, you woulda heard me sigh, " I don't know HOW to be a mother!" That was my desperate prayer to the One with all wisdom, for an answer for the need at hand. And He answers, sometimes, not the way we would've thought He would... but He is faithful to lead those with young. Maria

Thanks, Karen! It's something I hear/see so often, and have done myself, almost without realizing it - defending our own decisions and in the process criticizing someone else's. The reality is that most of us live our children dearly and are doing our best the way we see it. I want to learn to be an encouragement and not just another critic.

And I'm sure your girlie was very happy with your choice today!

What a fabulous post Becca! I don't know what all brought this about, but I can say Amen & I agree 100%! Me co.sleeping my baby? I said never! But wouldn't you know it she is still in my bed & still waking up to nurse! I learned to just relax with my second one & let her be a mommies girl as long as she wants & I'm so glad there is nothing wrong with that!
And you should see my house right now!! I held my grouchy baby instead of clean today.:) Bless you in your mothering!

I think as mothers we always tend to exceed our limitations to meet the needs of our family.I have learned some of my limitations and leave those tasks for my young men to handle but for the most part I do it myself when I can.

Hang in there dear sister
